Weigh in 76 kgs

Down a little bit this week. Should have been more but I ate too well this weekend. I went to a bbq at a friend's house on Saturday night and I just can't resist cheeses.

My challenge for this week is to cut back on carbs. I'm not doing anything stupid like going low carb, not with the amount of running I've been doing lately. I just want to get back to regular carbs instead of insanely high carbs, and making sure the carbs I do eat are unprocessed (ie. not cake).

I've decided against going to the Run for the Kids training session tonight. I've had some aches and pains in my leg so figure I'd rather just have a light run at the park and know I can stop if I have any problems rather than risk overdoing it. Plus it's Moomba weekend so the city will be awful busy.

I've been getting grumpy because my housemate stores all his shit in the hallway. So yesterday I started cleaning up. My room gets so dusty and awful because the hallway is such a dusty mess so he came out of his room and I asked him to get rid of his shit so I could clean. He started thumping things around and I thought he was pissy with me but when he finished, he'd cleaned out all the hallway and it looked lovely. He wasn't pissy at all, he said he'd been meaning to do it for ages but had been too lazy. So we were all happy because cleanliness is godliness and all that. Today I'm going to get a doormat to stop so much gunk getting into the house. It's good to have these things sorted.

It's good to see you listening to your body and knowing how to treat it. I need to kick some of my carbs too and cheese, it's creeping back into my diet! Dairy makes me have the runs LOL.

A clean house = bliss.

Good luck with the carb cut down. I need to cut back too, definitely too many pasta and bread type meals in my diet at the moment!

Your new housemate sounds good. I love having a clean house as well, though the reality is I'm lucky if I get any time to get a decent clean out done. Tom helps out but I think the problem is we now have too much space to clean.

What happened with your slumlords, their rent rise and the cleaning thing too?

I had a great big piece of cardboard haunting my hallway for weeks, left over from an Ikea book shelf I bought. I finally whipped out the stanley knife and cut it up for the recycling today. WOW, I forget that my hallway was that wide :-)

The cat is a bit pissed off though, he was having fun running through the cardboard tunnel.

I'll join you in the cutting down of bad carbs, refined carbs are my biggest weakness, Bakers Delight is my porno LOL

Alright - I'll join in, no refined carbs. I'll see if I can last a week.... starting tomorrow.

I just reviewed my food diary and my carbs have been through the roof lately. I'm in! I'll cut back the carbs too.

woohoo for the clean hallway! :)

have to agree with you on the cheese. i kept hacking bits off a block of parmesan the other night. it's like dark chocolate, they say "you can only eat a little bit"... bollocks, i say! i could have scoffed the whole wedge.

not long until the run 4 the kids now, is it? you are being really consistent, well done. Are the bloggers meeting anywhere?
Isn't it nice to have a clean house? Good on you for risking the housemate's ire and getting a great result :)
