I rock!

I went to the Tan this morning for the R4TK training run. Simon and I did the 10 km run and yet again lagged behind the others. Still we did it without too many walk breaks even. Towards the end, I started walking. Simon wanted to run but I told him I was saving myself for the Anderson Street hill. I've never made it up that hill without stopping or walking.

I've actually felt like I have bad karma on that hill. One of my friends used to live on Anderson St and we'd sit around, more than likely sipping champagne (okay, guzzling it) and yelling out shit to joggers. How life changes.

This morning I decided I'd conquer it. Well about halfway up, I thought I'd die. I slowed down to a pace slower than walking, saying it doesn't matter if I run slow, so long as I keep running.

I did it. That that, you evil hill.

And hey, get this. I'm almost famous. I found out that I'm in one of the crowd shots for The Grates new video clip.

Oh and I still have stuff for sale on ebay if anyone is interested (spread the news, I need the money). I'll prolly put up some more today too. Now I just need to get in the cash from the people who buy stuff.

You're already famous in my world!! hehe
Good luck with the ebay money, I hope they all cough up soon.

Definitely bad karma! ;-)

Nice work on beating the hill though, it's a doozy! First time I ran it, I thought I was going to die too.

You know, sometimes I wish I was a diamonds girl so I knew what all the fuss was about ;-)

GO YOU! That's a pretty damn good achievement and seriously well done.

Will keep my eyes peeled for The Grates clip too now!

Cool, which Grates song?

Well done on conquering that hill, you own it now, but LOL at your past history of abusing runners, I probably would have done the same thing once upon a time.

Can you believe when I first started walking the Tan, I used to park my car halfway up the hill and use it as my start/stop marker. What a lazy cheat I used to be. Well done to you.

I cant believe you used to fit into those clothes you're selling on Ebay.

You realise now, of course, that you will never be able to walk the hill again. Now that you've done it once, you'll feel obliged to run it each time!!! ;)

(You'll have to let me know if it is true that it is HARDER the second time because you know what is coming!!)

I have that children's chant in my head "I'm the king of the castle!" Congratulations Kathryn.

Also, congrats on the article in WH&F. I finally bought my copy this morning, and went straight to your article, which I enjoyed reading.

Well done on conquering the hill! Which feels better conquering it as a runner, or yelling at the joggers while drinking champagne :-)

(PS Kek showed me your article, really enjoyed it :)
